Privacy Policy
Native IDE is a native macOS workspace for editing code, running a terminal and reviewing Git changes. It is built to work on your Mac, for you. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information.
Summary
Native IDE does not collect, store on our servers, share or sell any personal data. We run no servers for the app, and the app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
What stays on your Mac
- The list of folders you open and the layout of your workspace, saved in the app's own data folder on your Mac.
- Access permission for folders you choose. macOS stores this as a security-scoped bookmark so the app can reopen those folders. You can revoke it by removing the project.
- Your files, Git history and terminal sessions. The app reads and writes them only when you ask, and never uploads them.
What the app does not do
- No accounts, sign-in or registration.
- No analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers or third-party SDKs that collect data.
- No network requests made by the app itself to send information about you or your code.
The terminal and Git
The built-in terminal runs a shell on your Mac, like Terminal.app. Programs you run in it, such as git push or curl, may use the network. That traffic comes from those programs and is under your control, not collected by Native IDE.
Children
Native IDE collects no data from anyone, including children.
